RODENT CONTROL & EXCLUSION
DON’T JUST CONTROL THE PROBLEM. CLOSE THE ENTRY.
Mice and other rodents can squeeze through surprisingly small openings around a home. Entry Guard looks beyond the immediate activity to identify where rodents are getting in, address the current problem, and help prevent it from happening again.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Common signs include droppings, scratching or movement inside walls and ceilings, gnaw marks, damaged food packaging, nesting material, unusual pet behavior, and actually seeing a mouse or rodent. Even a small amount of activity can be worth investigating, since rodents often stay hidden.
-
Rodents are usually looking for three things: food, water, and shelter. Pet food, bird seed, garbage, crumbs, moisture, clutter and warm protected spaces can all make a property attractive. Small gaps around foundations, utility lines, doors, siding and rooflines can also give them a way inside.
-
Entry Guard starts by looking at the whole problem—not just the rodent you see. We inspect for signs of activity, identify potential entry points, address current rodent activity and recommend exclusion work when needed. Our goal is to help control the existing problem while reducing the chances of rodents getting back inside.
-
No. Traps and other control methods may be part of a rodent-control plan, but they don't address how rodents are entering the structure. Entry Guard also focuses on inspection, entry-point identification and exclusion solutions designed to help keep rodents out long-term.
-
Entry Guard provides control and exclusion solutions for common rodent problems, particularly mice and rats. Because every property and situation is different, we'll first identify the activity you're experiencing and recommend the appropriate next steps.
-
It depends on the level of activity, the property and how many potential entry points are present. Some customers may notice improvement quickly, while more established activity can require additional time and follow-up. We'll explain what to expect based on what we find during your inspection.
-
We inspect vulnerable areas around the property for gaps, openings, damage and other signs of rodent travel. Common problem areas include foundations, utility penetrations, siding, doors, garages, rooflines and soffits. Mice can fit through openings around ¼ inch wide, so even very small gaps matter.
-
The material depends on the location, size and type of opening. Entry Guard uses durable exclusion materials appropriate for the specific entry point rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all repair. During the inspection, we'll explain what we recommend sealing and how we plan to address it.
-
The biggest step is reducing the ways rodents can get inside. Sealing vulnerable entry points, storing food and pet food properly, controlling clutter, addressing moisture and keeping exterior areas maintained can all help. Entry Guard can also identify areas around your property that may need attention.
-
Your household is considered when we develop a treatment plan. We'll explain the control methods being recommended, where they'll be used and any precautions you should follow. Let us know about children, pets or other concerns before service so we can take them into consideration.
-
Yes. Rodent activity monitoring is available through Entry Guard's year-round pest protection plans, and additional rodent-control or exclusion services can be recommended when needed. We can help determine whether a one-time service, exclusion work or ongoing protection makes the most sense for your property.
-
Mouse/Rodent Control starts at $175. Final pricing depends on the property, level of activity and services needed. Exclusion work is quoted separately because every home's entry points are different. Request an inspection and we'll recommend the appropriate solution and provide clear pricing before work begins.
